The Clearwater Historical Society was started in 1979. After ten years of fundraising, the museum was completed in November 1990. Within six years, nearly 8,000 items were placed in the museum.

The museum is a great place for group tours or a quick visit. The Museum is open on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. or by appointment. Closed on Holiday weekends.
