Water Rate Adjustment

Due to the increased cost of providing water to the citizens of Clearwater, the Governing Body has authorized a rate adjustment to help sustain the departments ability to provide water service.

Per Ordinance 897 the water base rate automatically increases by 1% annually.

For 2018 the base water rate will increase by 1% plus $1.00. The tier pricing will also see an increase. For 3 to 5 thousand gallons the rate will increase by $0.50 per thousand gallons, for 6 to 10 thousand gallons the rate will increase by $0.75 per thousand gallons, and for 11 thousand gallons and more the rate will increase by $1.00 per thousand gallons.

If your average use is:

2 thousand gallons or less per month you will see an increase of approximately $1.00 per month.

5 thousand gallons per month you will see an increase of approximately $2.50 per month.

8 thousand gallons per month you will see an increase of approximately $4.00 per month.

11 thousand gallons per month you will see an increase of approximately $7.25 per month.
